Welcome our new Senior Pastor Max Burkhead January 1, 2025!
Max was born in Houston, Missouri. Graduated from Arlington Lamar High School in 1979. He received his B.A. from McMurry College (now University) in Abilene, Texas in 1984, Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at T.C.U. in 1990, and Doctor of Ministry from S.M.U. Perkins School of Theology in 2003. Max has two grown sons and a step-daughter-to-be. He also has three grandsons and two future grandsons. Max is engaged to Carol Jo Newton of Wichita Falls, Texas, with wedding date set for May, 2025. Max currently teaches eighth grade mathematics and is a licensed real estate agent with Texas Real Estate Executives. Come this Sunday to welcome Pastor Max and Carol Jo!
